3/19/2023 0 Comments Sett runesI do think CDR is very valuable as well, but deaths dance doesn't really offer much to Sett I would believe. How do you feel about going Ignite over Ghost since you have nimbus cloak? I feel like when I run Nimbus Cloak + Ghost, the Nimbus Cloak gets me the kill compared to Ghost. And the CDR is just all around amazing, since I can't guarantee I will hit 40% CDR simply through items, especially if I stack armor, since armor items don't really have CDR. Having the extra movement speed is extremely helpful to catch up to people. Though I'm really fond of nimbus cloak and transcendence. Late game it'll only account for about 250hp, whereas second wind is invaluable for lane sustain, bone plating will block for an incredible amount of damage if played right, demolish is second to none for pushing turrets, revitalise can amp healing as well as w shield on lower grit values, and unflinching provides both a large burst of tenacity and slow resistance when you cast a summoner, and then a decent amount of both when you have one or two summoners on cooldown. I've so said it before, but overgrowth is terrible. He already naturally has 8x attack speed on his right punch, and an auto attack reset which is on a >3s cd mid to late game since I max it second. I also don't feel like sett needs much attack speed, if any. I don't get triforce due to low base ad, it having lower health, it having mana, and it being all around more expensive. I will get tiamat into titanic somewhere down the line, I don't feel like it's a rush, or particularly important item, since it delays my CDR which I find extremely valuable on sett. My standard build would be black cleaver > armor/Mr boots > deaths dance > armor/Mr item > armor/Mr item. I wanted to hear the community's thoughts and input on rune path, item path, and build order so far!Ĭonqueror > triumph > tenacity > last stand. I was just brainstorming on the possible builds Sett can bring to the table after seeing/playing him on PBE and Live server. Is there perhaps other secondary runes that other Sett mains are running that are having more success or have a good reasoning to run them? Since the hardest part with Sett right now is getting on the target without being kited, would Nimbus Cloak + Transcendence be the better option? The 10% CDR from transcendence with Ionian boots will get Sett 40% CDR after finishing trinity which allows for better all ins and chase down potential. Perhaps Resolve secondary rune path is not as useful as sorcery. Sett builds a lot of health to benefit his passive and W, is overgrowth a rune worth taking or is the rune by itself a really bad rune compared to bone plating? What happens if you take Unflinching with Ghost? Is unflinching a good rune to make up for the tenacity? This leads to being able to be stunned or kited lots of the times since you won't be going Tenacity rune. This seems to be the core build path for a normal length game so far in my experience, which leaves you with 20% CDR if not going Ionian Boots of Lucidity.Īttack speed is important on Sett, which makes sense to have Legend: Alacrity. The main items are Tiamat -> Boots -> Trinity -> Titanic Hydra. Is CDR required for Sett? If building W -> E -> Q for all in's, is there a huge difference between 40% CDR or 20% CDR. My questions for discussion, is how good are certain runes are on Sett and what is your current build? I have only been playing the game for about 4 months so far, so I'm quite new to learning runes and finding which ones are better than others. While Sorcery offers Nimbus Cloak + Transcendence to chase down enemies with CDR on abilities. The resolve tree offers Shield Bash + Bone Plating to do more burst damage and survive all ins better. The two options that are the strongest available are Resolve or Sorcery. This rune path seems pretty straightforward so far, but the real question is the secondary runes. Last option is usually last stand since he can bait with his W. Legend Alacrity is ideal if possible, but Tenacity is also good if there are many CC champions. Triumph is the only option for the second row. Conqueror makes sense due to being able to stack it relatively quick. Overall this is a pretty balanced build for him in the Top Lane. As it stands right now, Foggedftw2 has played many games of Sett on PBE and on live server to believe that the rune path is Conqueror -> Triumph -> Legend Alacrity -> Last Stand with resolve secondary of Shield Bash + Bone Plating with Attack speed/adaptive/armor or magic resist. With every new champion there is a lot of players testing the limits of the new champion and trying to find the most optimal rune paths for the champion.
